At HELiFIRE New Zealand (Rural Fire Service Ltd) our main focus is to provide quality aerial firefighting equipment and excellent customer service. We specialise in providing Fire, Safety and Aerial Firefighting Solutions for helicopter operators and Wildfire Managers.




FIRE CAPTAIN & DIRECTOR - Simon Osborne is responsible for enabling and developing solutions to meet our clients operational needs. Simon is a licenced Pilot (PPL) and qualified Firefighter (rural, urban, industrial and marine), Teacher (Technical and Further Education), "A" Grade Automotive Engineer (Diesel), Fitter and Turner.  


His early career was as an Automotive Engineer (Diesel), Heavy Rescue and Flood Rescue volunteer with the NSW State Emergency Service, Able Seam Marine Technical Propulsion Phase II (Fitter and Turner) with the Royal Australian Navy, Civil Defence Manager and Deputy Principal Rural Fire Officer with the Central Hawke's Bay District Council Rural Fire Authority and Warranted Rural Fire Officer with the Rangitikei District Council, Manawatu District Council and Tararua District Council Rural Fire Authorites.


Simon and our firm specialises in the fabrication of stainless steel products for the Aviation industry such as HELiFIRE Monsoon Bucket and portable Live Fire Simulators for fire trainers in the firefighting industry.




FINANCE & DIRECTOR - Janice Osborne joined HELiFIRE New Zealand in 2015. After an extensive career in finance with major firms, she instilled a large measure of experience and skill in managing our books. Since arriving, Janice has taken over the accounting and administrative areas, running both ably and efficiently. She serves as the primary point of contact for all calls into HELiFIRE New Zealand.



CONTRACT ENGINEERING PERSONNEL - We also employ expert, multi-discipline contract engineers, fitters and technicians to help us grow and expand our operations.
